Whitney Houston had an untimely death. Now everyone wants to keep her somewhere in memories. Star memorabilia is the best way we can keep the memories of such legends alive. Many auction houses come forward to sell these special items. These events garner a lot of publicity as well. The deals are good too. Couple of months ago an auction was organized in Los Angeles where a bustier worn on stage by the singer Whitney Houston was auctioned for $18,750. This auction had 13 items of the star and grossed over $80,000 according to the celebrity auctioneer Darren Julien. Don’t worry if you have missed out. More Houston items are coming up for auction at Julien’s.
The collection includes her dress, records as well as her jewelry. We are giving you an insight into a few interesting pieces that are on sale here.
One of the items is this pair of chandelier earrings which Houston wore in the publicity photos for the Hollywood flick The Bodyguard. These earrings have a gold tone wire filigree frame with some multifaceted teardrop beads.
This gold tone circular pin can be a good jewelry for June as it has simulated pearl.
As for this bracelet it has black gems of plastic strung together on elastic.
This ring has the top presale estimate of $4000 as it was ring worn by Whitney Houston in the film “The Bodyguard”. The ring was purchased at the end of filming by the costume supervisor. It is now accompanied by a letter stating this and a copy of the film. There is a maker stamp too.
Of course, this jewelry is not as expensive as the $500,000 worth of jewels with which this celebrity was buried in February this year. Her extravagant jewelry ensemble included a diamond broach, a gold and ruby crucifix necklace, and a $200,000 pair of diamond earrings.
