Congratulations are in line for Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan as the couple is expecting their first child!

The social media mogul confirmed the news of his wife’s pregnancy through his facebook page. He started with the announcement saying he and his wife are expecting a baby girl. Continuing his heart-melting note, Mark explained that they are fortunate that they have touched millions of lives around the world through their work, community service and philanthropy. And now they will work on making the world a better place for their baby and next generation.

The 31-year-old entrepreneur also shared about the couple’s struggle with three miscarriages. “We’ve been trying to have a child for a couple of years and have had three miscarriages along the way.” he wrote, “You feel so hopeful when you learn you’re going to have a child. You start imagining who they’ll become and dreaming of hopes for their future. You start making plans, and then they’re gone. It’s a lonely experience.”

According to Silicon Valley magnate, people avoid discussing miscarriages because they think discussing such problems would distance them or reflect as if they are defective. Therefore, most people struggle alone to cope up with this emotional breakdown.

He clears that discussing such issues brings you closer, and helps you feel comfortable and hopeful for future. Zuckerberg mentioned that he decided to talk about often forbidden topic of miscarriage in an effort to increase ‘understanding and tolerance’.

Finally, he closed the note mentioning the pregnancy is on a much safer side, and both Priscilla and their baby are healthy.
